I was in Maine this summer and had the pleasure of purchasing some Delacata squash. I was amazed of the flavor and creamy, not stringy texture . I prepared it like I do Acorn squash with butter and brown suger. Is Maine the only place that grows this, can I grow it in New Jersey and how long will it keep ? Thank-you

Even better than your carrots are your beets. Flavor is fantastic, and a great buy also.

Sorry it took a year to respond, Mike. Those carrots are demanding.

We grow some organic produce and some conventionally. When we do have to resort to conventional techniques, we try to be judicious with what materials we use and when. Feel free to send a shout if you have specific questions and we can help you out.

      Take care,
      Alex

I was happy to find Maine-grown carrots at Hannaford in Wells. Bought a two-pound bag and made a delicious carrot/ginger soup. . . .pretty soup to have on a cool sunny winter day. My neighbors liked it a lot.
I’ll look for your produce in the local markets from now on. You do a wonderful job!
    Thanks,
    C. Douglass

I just found your carrots at the Hannaford in Caribou and was pleased to see Maine produce. What variety are they?

I love your carrots and mourn the day that they are no longer available in the Brewer Hannaford where I shop. Imagine my surprise one day when I found two “wussy” carrots in my bag from Lakeside farms. I pointed an accusatory finger at family members inquiring about the ersatz carrots. Then I saw the sticker. HAHAHAHA! Yes the Maine carrots were definitely better!!!
On another note, thanks to the demo and the complimentary samples you had at the Brewer Hannaford (two falls ago??), I am now a big fan of your delicata squash. YUM!
